Peaceful Forest, Starry Night Background, Versamark/Evergreen ink, clear embossing powder, Sakura Quickie Glue Pen, Diamond glitter, Bristol watercolor pad – all supplies from A Muse Studio

I was inspired by a Hero Arts card I saw although in the end mine went a totally different direction!  I do love the emboss resist technique and, after having a “snow day” here in Northern VA yesterday, this card seems appropriate.  This is the same tree stamp I used on Sunday for my Amusing Challenges tree card.  It’s called Peaceful Forest.  I’ll have one more this week to share and it’s a third, completely different look.  This was probably the last Christmas stamp set I bought this year but it’s turning out to be my favorite!

Sadly, this stamp, the Starry Night Background stamp and all the other stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog will be no longer available for sale after December 31. (some of the stamp sets may reappear in the next base catalog coming out later in 2014 but there are no guarantees so if you like it, please buy it.  You can stick it under the tree, wrapped up, if you feel better about it.  That’s what I do!  tee hee…)

How-to:  Just a quick note about how I stamped my trees in case you want to recreate this look.  I first stamped the trees in green…first generation, second and pushed down hard for the third generation.   Cleaned off the stamp and then inked it up with the Versamark ink.  I did not use a Stamp-a-majig (but you could), I ended up lining them up pretty darn close and then I clear embossed the trees.  Clear embossed the Starry Night Background and then watercolored the panel.  All supplies are from A Muse Studio.
