Sequins are everywhere these days! And, I jumped on the bandwagon with this card…I love how it turned out! Below I’ll share how I made it but it all started out with the A Muse Studio Heart Trio die set*. I also used this Blush cardstock, red sequins, Crystal Clear Glaze, Seattle ink and a .5mm Copic Multiliner pen – all from A Muse Studio. The “love” is just partially stamped from one of the sentiments in the A Muse Studio set: Love Me Do*. *on sale!!
Step 1 is to position your die somewhere in the top center of 4 x 5 1/4 cardstock and secure it with a piece of washi tape before you die cut.
Step 2 is to lay your cut cardstock over a white card base and lightly trace the heart shape…
Step 3. Starting from the center of your heart shape, secure red sequins. Warning: white glue is too messy. Mini glue dots work nicely or here I used a thin bead of Crystal Clear Glaze so that even if the adhesive leaked through the center holes, it was less noticeable. Work outwards.
Step 4. You can stamp any sentiment on your cardfront. When I stamped my “love” it didn’t come out as crisp as I would’ve liked so instead of tossing it out, I just added some hand drawn “doodle” lines with my Copic Multiliner.
Step 5. Attach your die cardfront with 3d Foam Adhesive – done!
If you’d like to make this card at home, the good news is that the Heart Trio dies and the Love Me Do stamp set are both on sale this month as part of A Muse Studio’s Sweet Sale. woo hoo!!
