Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. I also have a special shout out to some wonderful women I know who aren’t moms and yet are an important part in nieces/nephews’ lives or are now the caregivers to their parents. So, this week’s Amusing Challenge will be to celebrate Mother’s Day with feminine cards! Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. I will have a Weekly Winner and at the end of the month, those 4-5 winners will go into a prize drawing for one lucky Grand Prize winner. May’s Prize Winner will receive a package of 100 Forget Me Not paper flowers from A Muse Studio. They are being retired and have sold out so this is the only way to get a package of them! To check out the Retirement Sale (we’re now at 35% off!) visit my website.
Juliet, of Ballpoint Bliss, is back again as a guest designer this week! She was up stamping this week at my house and mentioned how one of our sets would be perfect for doing a Tim Holtz styled tag. I think it turned out amazing and I can’t wait for you to see it too! Charming Gardeners, from A Muse Studio, is on sale right now for 35% off during their Progressive Retirement Sale.

I might as well crown Cyndi Queen of Fussy Cutting! 🙂 She lovingly hand cut out all there flowers (and there are two layers popped up here) and numerous leaves. Her work is always so delicate and beautiful. I was almost ready to part with this retired Wild Rose amuse studio set until I saw her creation!

I had a card class in my home this week featuring stamps that were retiring from A Muse Studio (well actually, I had 4 classes in two days which may be why I had to take a nap today!!). I CASEd my talented and sweet upline Angi – she has such an eye for color combos and I love how she stamped only part of the background stamp. Angi tends to inks her edges where I typically do not. I happened to have an extra background piece that didn’t fully stamp for someone but I couldn’t bare to throw it away – and, I needed a Mother’s Day card. I figured some heavy inking around the edges would help cover up and draw the eye away from any missed spots. I have to say, I love the results. I “may” become an edge inker yet!!
