amuse studio stamps, thank you cards

I have several thank you notes to send out – I am way behind and my apologies to the recipients!! Starting last year I’ve been trying to send out handmade thank you cards to customers who order online from my website…I always appreciate you putting your trust in me!  Sadly I haven’t been very timely but I’m going to work on it and having a batch of thank you cards on hand will make it easier.  What type of stamper are you?  Do you make a card as you need them or do you like to stamp as the mood strikes you?

Combining Sentiments

One in a Melon is a new stamp set featured in Amuse Studio’s January Collection.  It has about 11 fruits and vegetable images plus some punny sentiments to go along.  For this thank you card I wanted to use the word “bunches” but the rest of the sentiment didn’t work.  So, I looked around and found a “thanks” in the perfect font and size.  woohoo!  It comes from Amuse Studio stamp set, Perk Up.  The easiest way to ink up just a word or partial phrase in a rubber stamp sentiment is to use washi tape to cover up what you do NOT want inked.  Remember to remove that washi tape before you stamp – just saying, experience talking here!  If you do this often, it becomes easier to just ink up the word you want.  But beware!  If you don’t catch and clean the ink that may have strayed off target, it can ruin your card.   😦

Other great details

I am smitten with white embossing and found that it looks great on this Grass green cardstock.  I was tickled to see the Tag Bundle die set make it into the January Collection – it was due to “retire” with amuse studio’s Holiday Catalog.  Phew!  The stitching in it and circle dies are nice details that are so popular right now and you need them as part of your rubber stamping supplies.  Even though there are few layers here, I feel like the design is still pretty CAS.  I know it looks rather simple, but it took me longer than it should have to get my “vision” for this card to work.
