I can not believe the variety of looks I am achieving with this ONE stamp set!  It’s called Botanical Silhouettes and it is from Amuse Studio’s April Collection. This clean and simple (CAS) card just feels like spring to me.

What rubber stamping supplies do I need to make this card?

For this card I simply embossed some of the silhouette flowers with white embossing powder on Pistachio cardstock.  The results were subtle and nice but I wanted them to pop just a bit more.  I took a copic marker in the same shade as my cardstock and just loosely and quickly outlined the flowers…perfect!  You can’t tell but I also stamped in Pistachio ink the silhouette on my white sentiment oval…it’s very subtle but nice in real life.

To achieve that lattice look on the bottom half was so easy!  What you don’t see is that this is actually two panels and my ribbon is hiding the spot where they join up.  You could also do this with one piece and just be careful to stop preciously with your scoring so that you don’t go up into your flowers.  My way allowed me to take the best section of my embossed flowers and not worry too much about goofing up the whole card later by accident.  This is an older technique and you may or may not be familiar with it – what makes it so pretty here is the Amuse Studio cardstock.  Because our paper is white on one side, when you lightly sand it the results are beautiful!  So I scored every 1/2 inch in one direction and then flipped my cardstock at a new angle and scored every 1/2 inch in a cross wise direction.  If you practice this once or twice it will come easily after that, promise!

  1. Like the crisp silhouette look of this. The black & white compliments the overall look. You can enter this at Simon Says Stamp Wed Ch Polka Dots since the ribbon has polka dots. Raining here in Central TX today. Got Daisy walked early this morn & then had a nice breakfast with daughter at Panera. Have a BEE-utiful day!
