This week’s theme and monthly prize
Today is Mother’s Day so let’s celebrate the Moms that gave us life and brought us up! I hope you will be able to join us for this week’s Amusing Challenge.
Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc. Based on reader input late last year, I will be changing up the way I award my monthly prize! We’ll still have the Top 3 winners but now every participant that plays along (and LINKS BACK to the challenge) will earn a chance to win the random drawing for my prize package at the end of the month. May’s prize will get you ready for Father’s Day with this fun stamp set from Amuse Studio – The Perfect Disguise. It’s retired now so this is the only way to get a hold of this brand new stamp set!
Design Team Inspiration
Emily, is a brand new member of my team (although she has been using Amuse Studio products even longer than me!) and I asked if I could share one of the Mother’s Day cards she created. She shares the details on how to make this card on her blog, Stamped and Delivered. Emily is incredibly talented and has a great style! In fact, my own two Mother’s Day cards that I’m sharing today were CASEd from some card she created…
amuse studio supplies: Spring Border stamp set (Monthly Collection – available while supplies last), Azul cardstock, Gift Tag die set, Medium Scalloped border die set, White embossing powder, Peerless watercolor paints, Wink of Stella
I love this jar of hearts Cyndi came up with for Mother’s Day! The Mason Jar stamp set from Amuse Studio has 3 different jars so you can really do a lot with it! This card is fun and cheerful and the “made with” sentiment is perfect for us crafters. Cyndi also has a great pairing of printed cardstock and designer papers – all of her supplies are from A Muse Studio.
amuse studio supplies: Mason Jar stamp set, Grapefruit Petite Polka do cardstock, Sugar and Onyx cardstock, Everything’s Rosy 6×6 paper, sequins and clear twinkle stickers, Cherry and Blush ink, Cherry baker’s twine
As I mentioned above, I CASEd Emily on these two cards I made for my Mom and Mother-in-law. I was blown away by Emily’s use of this one stamp from amuse studio’s Love and Thanks – the blue one. I’ve always used it as green foliage. The funny thing is that Emily told me she hadn’t thought to stamp it green…so we both had our eyes opened to the possibilities! That’s what I love about sharing and seeing what other stampers do with the same sets I have…so neat!
amuse studio supplies: Love and Thanks stamp set, Spring Scene stamp set, Mini Blooms stamp set, Grass, Papaya and Azul ink, Sugar, Lemon Whip, Grass and Azul carsdtock, White embossing powder
