Amusing Challenge – Anything Goes

This week’s theme and monthly prize

I can hardly believe that May is almost over but that means it is “anything goes” (except digi – sorry!) for this week’s Amusing Challenge!  Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  Based on reader input late last year, I will be changing up the way I award my monthly prize!

We’ll still have the Top 3 winners but now every participant that plays along (and LINKS BACK to the challenge) will earn a chance to win the random drawing for my prize package at the end of the month.   May’s prize will get you ready for Father’s Day with this fun stamp set from Amuse Studio – The Perfect Disguise.  It’s retired now so this is the only way to  get a hold of this brand new stamp set!

Design Team Inspiration

Emily is on my A Muse Studio team (she said YES! to the special $25 promotion going on until the end of the month).  She is incredibly creative AND talented!  We live on total opposite sides of the country and yet that doesn’t make a difference as those of you who have blog friends well know.  Emily is also so funny – on her Stamped and Delivered blog post for this project (which you can find more pics that you really need to see!), she says Dr Who always says, “Bow ties are cool”.  I still have to watch that show one day but I must agree!

I am frantically cutting for 15 folks for my Memorial Day card buffet workshop tomorrow!  I am thrilled to have so many folks want to come and stamp with me – my franticness comes from me changing my mind (3 times now!) on a particular card design…I need to stop but I think in the end I will offer up all three variations.  Here is one of my “pro-types” and it uses a new stamp set that will be in Amuse Studio’s June Collection.  Pineapples are everywhere but this set is super practical because it comes with lots of different “outside” designs, sentiments and 3 different pineapple shapes.

Here is another design I originally came up with but I decided that using 5 different colored inks, 3 different stamp sets and a water mister might just get too crazy at my card class.  Even so, I LOVE the way this card looks and I was recently inspired by the colors of a card I spotted on Pinterest!  It uses a fun technique using our Amuse Studio pigment inks and water misting – you don’t normally think of those two together but I think they work great and I love this example of it here and here.
