Amusing Challenge – Anything Goes

This week’s theme and monthly prize

ALL this month we’ll be having an  Anything Goes Amusing Challenge.   You may have heard that Amuse Studio is closing their doors on Nov 27 … I will be with them until the bittersweet end.  All orders this month will receive Happy Mail from me as my thanks.  On 1 Dec I’ll be joining Close to My Heart!  I will need a new challenge name so I’m announcing a contest to help me think of a new one. I have had some brilliant entries already – you all are so creative – thank you, thank you!  You can still enter your ideas in the comments at this original post.  The winning idea (or even one randomly picked winner!) will get a brand new Amuse Studio stamp set from me!  This contest will run the month of November.

Please share any stamped project you are working on this week – please no digital images.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  November’s prize winner will receive this Nordic Noel Amuse Studio stamp set.  It’s been one of my favorites over the years and one of my first purchases!  (this one is new – don’t worry!  I’m keeping mine!)

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi made another lovely fall card with Amuse Studio’s new stamp set, Second Springtime.  She created such a lovely frame, colored with copics, and the pumpkin is fussy cut and popped up.  I can even envision a photo inside this card!

I spotted this fantastic creation on Amuse Studio’s facebook page this week.  I suspect it’s Marisa Alvarez’s work because it looks like her amazing style!  I love how it combines a stamp from last year – Flaky Friends – and one from their brand new (and very last) November Collection.   It’s called North Pole Post Office and I love how the images are perfect for both cardmaking and scrapbooking.  I have that Photo Frame die from amuse studio and love it.

So this is an interesting card…or at least how it came about is interesting!  I gold embossed the ornament from Amuse Studio’s Merriest of All stamp set.  It’s from September’s Monthly Collection and I’ve used it only once so I really wanted to work with it some more.  Well, I stuck my thumb into the soft, melted embossing powder and smudge the “bell” portion of the ornament – hence the gold sequin!  Then when I went to stamp the sentiment from Holiday Cheer, also from Amuse Studio, I managed to stamp cheer crooked!  ugh.  That led to my layers which are out of my comfort zone but in the end I like this CAS look.  It’s your typical Christmas color scheme and I’m okay with that!
