heARTful stamping challenge – Anything Goes

This week’s theme and monthly prize

Anything Goes + a rubber stamp

Jan 29 – Feb 5

This week’s heARTful stamping Challenge is everyone’s favorite – Anything Goes…but please be sure to use rubber stamps in your project!  You can find last week’s challenge here.

Throughout the month I have different sorts of challenges…”use it”, themes, sketch, etc.  There are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  I figure with Valentine’s Day coming up soon (yeah, yeah…I know – don’t rush ahead!) this would be a fun Washi tape to add to your collection.  It’s called Everyday Life from Close To My Heart.

This Week’s Inspiration

This is for Muse Challenge #200…I love sketches or “case” this card type challenges.  They don’t tend to go over well when I do them as a theme here so I like to play along in others.  For this card I used my brand new CTMH clear rubber stamp set called Shower Flowers.  It just got dropped off this morning – woohoo!!  All of these foliage images (this is only half) come in the set and I combined it with a sentiment from my CMTH Cricut Flower Market digital cartridge/3 clear stamp sets/paper bundle.  Those sentiments are wonderful and I keep grabbing for them.  I was also tickled to dig around my older Spellbinder dies and give them some new life again – that’s always a good feeling.

supplies: Shower Flowers stamp set, inks – CTMH; Petite gingham – a|s, Spellbinder die, white twine – unknown

I couldn’t wait to try out the watercolors from CTMH – they are a total upgrade to the little pots of paints I used to use as a kid!  Aren’t they pretty?!

I stamped a few various images from CTMH’s Good Thymes set – I really love using clear rubber stamps.  I purposely went out of the lines of these herb images (I felt I had to mention that – tee hee).  Isn’t the font great too?  This is a super fast CAS card.

supplies:  Good Thymes stamp set, watercolor paints – CTMH; Azul cardstock,  white embossing powder – a|s, Tim Holtz mini stapler

Would you like to make just one a card a month to have featured on my heARTful stamping challenge?  It’s kinda fun to see it and you’ll have a link back to your own personal blog.  If you have CTMH stamps and are interested in doing a once a month “gig”, let me know!

I hope you join us!

It’s simple to play along:

  • 2 entry limit
  • no digis please!
  • please link back to this heARTful stamping Challenge to be eligible for the monthly prize!

  1. Like the herbs & watercoloring. Up early because I’m making a pot roast using a recipe, Colorado Pot Roast. Got the meat browned on all sides & it is now in the crock pot to simmer. Went to a Stamp Show yesterday. Bought magnets for my MISTI (saw the Hampton Art which is avail for sale now & saw demo of Tim Holtz versions of MISTI that is not avail for sale yet). I bought the MISTI online when it first came out from My Petunia $50 and it did not come with the magnets. At the show it was selling for $59.95 and there is a smaller version of it as well. The HA version does not have the foam which allows stamping foam type non-cling stamps. The TH version will sell for $40 when it is avail and everything the MISTI has. Also bought a tool set of Mini Layering Rulers that allow you to cut 1/16″ & up as layers of cardstock. Practiced some using the rulers.

    1. Stamp shows are so fun but dangerous to the wallet! 🙂 I don’t have a MISTI myself – but I had heard about other versions coming out. Pot Roast sounds good – we’re having pork chops tonight!

      1. I set my limit of $20 to spend at the show and the fee to get in was $6 since I had a postcard that got me $1 off. I had 2 of the postcards and gave one to a person coming in when I left so they could get $1 off also.
Pot Roast was yummy and there are leftovers for during the wk. Made Deviled Eggs also.
Hubby’s bday is Groundhog’s Day and I always make him a Pineapple-Upside Down Cake.

  2. Figured out some more of the mystery to link to your challenge blog post used in my blog posts. Thought it had to do with the order (I order my entered challenges by expiration date). Discovered that it has to do with cut & paste copying of the link. To explain and hopefully not confuse or bore anyone but I have a blog post that I keep track of the challenges in a draft (not published) file which I update when I enter to keep track of limit of number of entries, i.e. Stamped Blessings heARTful Ch here allows 2 entries so I use: 2E(#) and when I enter one I update it to 2E(#1) and when 2nd entry 2E(#2). So, when I put the link in the draft file and copy it to my blog post the link is not copying so I have to put the link directly in my blog post and not copy it from my challenge draft blog post.

  3. Love your take on the Muse, Chris! Great fresh colours that make me long for spring! So glad you joined us for Muse’s 200th!
