heARTful stamping challenge – Anything Goes (with a stamp!)

CTMH Silver and Gold cardmaking stamp set with Beary Christmas and Silver and Gold paper packs | Quick and easy Christmas card | DIY

This month’s theme and monthly prize

Anything Goes + a stamp

Nov 12 – Nov 19

Welcome to this week’s Anything Goes heARTful stamping challenge. Brrrr…we’ve had quite a cold spell here in Northern Virginia and I saw it was pretty wide spread.   My husband and I are both veterans (he retired with 20 years and I got out after 7 1/2 when we got married) so we have also been enjoying a marathon of military movies this weekend.  Two good reasons to stay inside and craft!!

If this is your first visit here, there are weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.  November’s prize winner will receive these CTMH Gold Glitter Gems which are perfect for holiday crafting!

This Week’s Inspiration

Cyndi really has a knack for creating little scenes and combining different stamp sets.  I just love how Cyndi used the feather from CTMH’s September Stamp of the Month – Feel So Blessed, to create a frame.  The sentiment is from there as well.  The kitten is from CTMH’s Operation Smile stamp set called Punny Pals.  Cyndi did a lot of fussy cutting with scissors and an exacto knife but it was worth it, I think!

I know, I know!  There are a million ornament stamp sets out there and you probably already have a few (I do!).  But, I just had to add the new Silver and Gold cardmaking stamp set from CTMH to my inventory.  I like the ornaments but I LOVE the sentiments’ fonts and the two border stamp sets.  I know I will get a lot of use from these.  Those little dots and stripes are perfect for adding a border strip to “finish” off seams, and you can customize them to what ever color you need.  Buffalo Plaid is “in” right now and this is one of the papers in CTMH’s Beary Christmas paper packs.  The other piece is from their Silver and Gold paper collection which is so eye catching and can be used all year round (check out this sample here of what I mean!).  I also am loving the silver and gold foiled papers CTMH has released in their Holiday Expressions catalog.

  1. Hi Chris – First I want to thank you and your husband for serving our country – here in Michigan [and I hope other states] several restaurants had free meals for veterans—Yeah
secondly it has been COLD here in Michigan as well- brrrrrr
the two cards on display are beautiful – on the first card I like how those feathers are around the opening and the ribbon – [I was gifted a strip of ribbon like that and it is very beautiful ribbon] on the 2nd card I like how the background is laid out – thanks for the challenge and have a blessed week

  2. TY for your service. Hubby was in the Air Force for 4 yrs. He did Basic Training In San Antonio, TX which the heat was a real shocker for him since he grew up in NJ. He was stationed in Idaho & also CO during the Vietnam War working on airplanes in the hangars. Yesterday we enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse where meal for Veterans was free. We had 2 other couples at our table. One had been in the Marines & other had been in the Navy. Temps here in Central TX have been 40s – 60s but is warmer today. I need to get my Puny Pals stamps/dies out to play with.

  3. Thank-you both for your service!
You may have sold me on that ornament stamp set, simply for the accessory stamps in it, with your beautiful card you made. I️ love those little stripes!

  4. Oh, that IS a nice ornament set! Love how you used the little stripes as a belly band on your wonderful card.
Love the perky cats on Cyndi’s card….peering here and popping up there! Adorable.
Thank you for another fun challenge!!!
