The other day a card popped up in my IG feed created by Amy Tsuruta and I just loved the layout. She had an embossed background but I took the idea of a bundle of flowers and ran with using the CTMH supplies I had. I have an old book that I regularly use for projects like this – don’t worry, I rescued it from the trash when someone was throwing it away!
So for my card I used CTMH’s Many Congratulations stamp set. I stamped these flowers in Black Archival ink and then colored them with watercolor pencils. I did fussy cut them out (which I don’t mind!) but my friend Juliet had a great idea. She lightly stamped the flowers on the book page, then painted with white Gesso, restamped and colored in her flowers. She did have to use markers and the finish was slightly different. It’s an option!
I also stamped the ribbon image from CTMH’s Chelsea Gardens for scrapbooking stamp set. It’s fun to look through your sentiments to see what else will fit inside, beyond what comes in the stamp set. I love stretching my supplies like this.
I love how this card turned out! Don’t forget that Chelsea Gardens will disappear at the end of April with the rest of CTMH’s Seasonal Expressions 1 catty.
And Many Congratulations is just $13.95!
Don’t forget that the next sale is in two days!!
