This month’s theme and monthly prize
Anything Goes + a stamp
Sep 16 – Sep 23
The heat has arrived and I suspect we’ll see some rain as well. Prayers going out to those affected by Florence…what a mess! Thank you for stopping by to check out this week’s Anything Goes heARTful stamping challenge – I’m so happy that you stopped by! We’re a great place to get and share some card making ideas for your rubber stamped cards.
If this is your first visit here, there are normally weekly Top 3 winners and a random winner from all of the participants receives the monthly prize drawing.
I had some Mystery Hostess rewards to mail out this week and wanted to whip up a few cards to include as happy mail notes. Often I’m racing to get a package out before the mailman stops by and a card is not always in the cards. But, these little 3 x 3 cards were so easy to create! The flower and sentiment are both from CTMH’s new stamp set called Bunches of Love. These flowers look great in any color scheme – I just grabbed some of Close To My Heart’s new ink colors to try it out. I used one of the smaller blossoms to stamp in the center for a two toned look. These cards are just one layer since I could stamp the sentiment right over the flower images. Fussy cutting is always an option and ups the “fanciness” of a card like here!

I have been itching to make a winter holiday card when I saw CTMH’s September Stamp of the Month set called Just Treats. Honestly it’s perfect for all year round but as a member of the Coffee Lover’s Facebook group, I naturally get excited by all coffee and tea cups. tee hee… and in this case, hot chocolate! I also love that this stamp set is just $5 with a $50 purchase or, you can buy it at retail.
I don’t know if you’d notice, but I stamped the background of the cardbase with CTMH’s retired Splash of Color stamp set and Glacier ink. While I waited for my new holiday paper to arrive, I used some of last year’s Oh What Fun paper pack. The sentiment and cocoa images are from Just Treats. A touch of gold shimmer brush gives it some extra sparkle. Since I was using quite a bit of retired product mixed in with brand new stuff, I decided to use one of my older Spellbinder dies which I haven’t used in ages!
