This year I bought more Christmas stamps and papers than normal…I had grand plans for a Christmas Card workshop! Well, I did put one together and it may be my favorite yet. Unfortunately, I waited almost too late — hey, life was busy!! — so I only had a few takers. That being said, I’ll now be ready to send out my own Christmas cards on time this year! Silver lining.
More About My Card
I began this card with some of the beautiful papers from the previous Close To My Heart catalog called Comfort and Joy. This paper was so popular! It’s now out of stock unless you purchase the WYW kit and even then you just get a few sheets. I love the Gold Glitter paper with it. Next, I stamped the wreath from CTMH’s Serenity Cardmaking set in Avocado and New England Ivy. The matching thin cut die adds such a fun dimension to the wreath. Even though I love this wreath in the blues and golds of the Serenity paper pack, like this card here, I knew it would look amazing as a Christmas wreath.
Another thing I have been trying to do is look back through my older sets and start using some of the thin cuts in new ways!
Hello Lovely is from probably 4 years ago! I just love the detailed edges on the rectangle sentiment strip and I used it in my card. The sentiment tucked inside fits perfectly! It is from last year’s December stamp of the month. It feels good to mix new and old!
