I’m crossing my fingers that these two cards make it in time for Mother’s Day! I drove them over to the Post Office early this morning and then started my blog post…only to hit some key and it all disappeared. Noooooooo!!!!!! So, here we go again but it may be a little condensed this time around. ha ha…
I created these two Mother’s Day cards using Close To My Heart’s May stamp of the month — Flowers for You. I just love the emboss resist technique and featured these tags in my Monday Motivation video. They are quick and easy. I used CTMH’s Tags and Tabs Thin Cuts — regular White Daisy or watercolor paper works equally well with Distress Oxide inks. I think it’s terrific that CTMH carries these inks now and in so many colors!
You can purchase the SOTM for retail or it’s just $5 with a $50 order. VIP members can get this stamp set for FREE with their $50 order. I used different sections of the flower border for my tags…so fun!
More About My Cards
Once I created the tags, I decided to layer them on some neutral Kraft cardstock. You may have overlooked the Stitched Lattice Background thin cut die in the core catalog, but it’s so pretty! To finish it off I used the small butterfly from the current National Scrapbooking Month promotion – You Are Enough. If you’d like to see my Monday Motivation video I am sharing it on YouTube – it’s unedited, so you’ll feel like I’m just chatting with you, because I am!
