CTMH Desserts a la Whirl

I had nineteen thank you cards to stamp for my sweet students. They were so generous at the end of the year and I’m going to make a few thank you cards, but I also wanted to just stamp up something quick and easy for the kiddos to get in the mail. I came up with the idea to make a postcard – and save a little on postage. Plus, I think the end results are so cute. I used Close To My Heart’s Desserts a la Whirl stamp and matching thin cut die set. You can also buy the stamp set by itself and save money — here I didn’t even need the die. I love that this set is designed to go with our Card Front Spinner thin cut die. Now that I’m on summer vacation for the next two weeks I should have time to play. woo hoo!! If you’d like to see how the spinner die works, check out my card here.

More about my postcard!

I stamped my image in CTMH’s Intense Black ink. This ink comes with a reinker which I encourage you to get! It is a great all around black ink though because you can use it for alcohol based markers and watercolors…win win. After the paint dried, I stamped the sprinkles on with a matching ink. I did use CTMH’s watercolor paint set and then finished of each card with some doodling. Quick and easy!
