CTMH Cute As A Bug

Yay or Nay for bugs?!? I personally prefer butterflies but this Cute As a Bug stamp set from Close To My Heart is mighty cute indeed. I love some of the designs in the bug wings — they are almost folk-arty. I’m not going to say all boys love bugs — my son hates them. ha ha…oh well. I’ll save this card for someone else.

Since CTMH has the option for matching thin cuts, it really adds a fun detail to die cut your images. Here I could have popped them up but I went a quicker and easier route. I just glued them down! This is a tip I share in my Clean and Simple YouTube video. To finish off my card I trimmed the edges of the bugs hanging over the edge. Wouldn’t you know it, on the fold side, I cut a snitch too close and snipped a fine sliver of the folded edge away. I took that “mistake” as an opportunity! My twine slid perfectly through the opening and I could wrap it around my card. Next, I added a popped up matching sentiment and my card was done!

Happy Wednesday! I’m off to face 22 “cute as a bug” Kindergartners — it’s day 3 with them! tee hee…so fun and so tiring….

  1. There are bugs that I do not like. Like dragonflies & ladybugs. Wonderful card with asortment of bugs.
