The end of August is almost upon us and that means Close To My Heart is retiring both their Core Catalog and the July/August catalog. Yikes!! The list is HUGE! After a full and long day at work, followed by a quick trip to the grocery store, I wanted to make a card. It’s soothing for me and just helped me relax. I turned to my CTMH Make It From Your Heart volume 4 idea book for a card sketch. It took the “hard part” of getting started out of my card.
More About My Card
I grabbed some Close To My Heart Isabella patterned paper — I bought a lot of it thinking I’d do a card class with it but time never allowed for that. sigh. It’s so beautiful and I love CTMH’s coordinating Isabella Scrapbooking stamp set. From there I needed a nice sentiment and I settled on CTMH’s So Happy Together stamp and thin cut die set. I just love the two die shapes in this set — it retires at the end of the month as well.
I quickly added some color to my no-line stamped images. First, I stamped the images in Mink ink. This color coordinates with the Isabella paper pack and then I rubbed my ink pads on my acrylic block and picked up the colors I needed with a waterbrush. So easy and I got the perfect color matches!
