Caffeinated Christmas Card Challenge

Yay! I love a card challenge with a long window to play — I struggle to meet short deadlines although sometimes they are also the push I need. Either way, this is my entry for the Caffeinated Christmas Card challenge where you have to include at least one snowflake.

For my card I used a snowflake strip of Close To My Heart paper (love that gray panel – it’s from at least two years ago!). Despite it being older, it matches a new CTMH Wonderland patterned paper perfectly. That is one of the reasons I love working with CTMH papers, they really mix and match beautifully, and even more importantly, EASILY!

My coffee cup is from CTMH’s Desserts ala Whirl stamp and matching thin cut die set. This item is no longer in a printed catalog, but CTMH keeps their stamps up for at least a year past the time of debut. Phew! If you want to save a little money and don’t mind fussy cutting, you can also purchase this set without dies. The “warm hugs” sentiment is also from CTMH and it is from their Wonderland Cardmaking Workshop kit. That kit is sold out I see, but they still have some other lovely winter options!

Just some final details on my card, in case you are interested! I used Wisteria ink for the Warm Hugs sentiment and colored my to-go cup with Copics. That is a Martha Stewart snowflake punch and I used CTMH’s Silver glitter paper. Love my Tim Holtz mini stapler and the silver cording is left over from another project.

Happy Friday! I hear that there is more snow headed this way, so this card is perfect timing. Stay warm!
