The birds are tweeting happily away as I type this! Yes!! Spring is definitely in the air here in Northern Virginia. For my dad’s 90th birthday I used the Close To My Heart catalog sample with this Feathered Friends and Barn Door stamp set as inspiration. But it wasn’t an excact CASE, so I went back and made this card to be an almost exact copy of the catty. I have to say, I LOVE it!! Both of these stamp sets are still available – with matching thin cut dies.
Special details is the patterned paper background — its from a Basic Fundamentals pack that is about 6 years old! Time to use it. I also used a White Daisy ink pad and swiped it on it’s edge across the Glacier blue sky. Perfect clouds. Lastly, I stamped with the Barn Door stamp over Wood Grain paper. Extravagant? Yes! But totally worth it. The look is fabulous.
