I am so happy with this card using Close To My Heart’s In Full Bloom scrapbooking stamp set and the April stamp of the month. This special birthday card for my sister came about from leftover pieces lying out from my last card workshop. I like to cut multiples of the thin cuts, and CTMH’s Stitched Rectangle Frames thin cut die leaves you two pieces! It’s a total win-win when you use things up and the results are a beautiful card…
On top of that, I’m going to confess how lazy I was. (gasp) To add color to my flowers and leaves, I swiped Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink on my craft mat. Next, I drag my flowers through the ink to pick up some color. I did get a harsh line on one, so I tried to sponge it out a bit. I did the same technique for the leaves using Peeled Paint Distress Oxide inks. To see the line of colors Close To My Heart carries, you can check them out here. I stamped the bottle from Message In a Bottle in Mink ink and then stamped the bee from the back-in-stock Sweet as Honey cardmaking workshop kit. This kit was SO popular that CTMH had to order it three times. The sentiment, Birthday Wishes, is from CTMH’s National Scrapbooking Day bundle project called Many Wishes.
Last two days to get Message in a Bottle – April SOTM! You can buy it out right but remember that it’s just $5 when you spend $50 or VIPs get it for FREE (add it to your cart!!) when you spend $50. There are so many great promotions and items retiring from the March/April catalog that it should be easy…sorry!
What a gorgeous card Chris!!
