School is out for the summer! I need to get busy and start sending out long overdue thank you notes for orders over these past two months. Close To My Heart’s Sweet as Honey cardmaking stamp set has been one of my favorites this year and it’s perfect for summer! During CTMH’s Stamptacular sale this set is just $9.50 and if you want the thin cut die for the sentiment strip — it’s only $15 for all. There are so many great deals going on right now. During rising prices it’s nice to see some savings BUT, I also realize that you have to watch where and how you spend your money!!
More About My Card
For my card I stamped and embossed my main image in black. Next, I just loosely watercolored my flower heads and leaves. You can see I went out of the lines – on purpose! Once this dried, I dragged some Versamark ink on the edges of my cardstock and gold embossed. My sentiment is die cut and stamped on Kraft cardstock. Everything was really warped from all of the water I used and then the heat embossing. I layered the main image on black cardstock and then on top of a cardbase. I used Tombow Mono glue. Lastly, I stuck all of this under a thick stack of books and let it dry for 30 minutes. I took my photo and stuck it back under the book stack because I want to make sure it really dries and stays flat!
