CTMH Voices of the Sea

Do you have a favorite sea creature and is it depicted in Close To My Heart’s July stamp of the month: Voices of the Sea? I love the beach and hopefully hubby and I can get away for at least one day for a trip down to Ocean City before school restarts up. In the meantime, I’ll just create and dream with this beautiful stamp set!

Did you know that you can purchase CTMH’s stamp of the months for retail price? But, when you spend $50 then it’s just $5 and, if you are a VIP and you spend that much, it’s FREE!

More About My Card

I’ve really enjoyed the slimline card lately — it helped when I purchased the slimline card packs and envelopes from CTMH. This border is a Cricut cut but you can also use this retiring Square Windows Slimline thin cut die. I have it and love it. I wanted to keep my card sorta quick and easy, so I just stamped 3 of the images in black with a sentiment. It was hard to choose which three to use. The card looked okay but definitely needed some pops of color, so I stamped and loosely watercolored these images. Once I fussy cut them, I glued them down. I just put glue in the very center and that allows the paper to curl up and look more dimensional.

Originally, I had wanted to create this as a shaker card, but I took the easy way out and just glued some Julep sequins on. Julep was a color of the year and has since retired, but these CTMH Seashell Sequins are still available from last year and would also be perfect with this SOTM!
