I started this card trying to CASE one of Amy Tsuruta’s cards from last week. Well, it went sideways really quickly but I love the end results. To begin with, I sponged some Distress Oxide Inks onto some Ranger Watercolor cardstock. PSSSTTT! Close To My Heart will be offering these new black blending brushes starting with their new Core Catalog 1 August. I like them! After I had the inks blended, I spritzed some water onto the cardstock and then dabbed it up with a paper towel. Love how water reacts with these inks.
I white embossed this seagull from CTMH’s July stamp of the month — Voices of the Sea — onto a strip of vellum panel. It honestly was lost in the background, so I cut out the seagull and then colored it with Copic markers on the reverse side. To finish the card, I stamped 3 starfish and cut the panel down to 4 x 5 1/4. This white embossed sentiment is from CTMH’s Smiles From the Garden stamp set.
Voices of the Sea retires end of July — don’t miss out on this exclusive set!
