Close To My Heart has a really neat new tea stamp set! I love That’s the Tea’s bold images. You can find it in the new July – September catalog. My sister-in-law is a tea aficionado and so I couldn’t wait to make her a card. She planned a wonderful birthday celebration week for my MIL’s 90th birthday — did you notice how I tweaked the sentiment?! Ha ha…I crack myself up!
Some tips when stamping bold images. First, be sure to “season” your stamp before using it the first time. The best way to do this is to put it on a block and then rub the stamp against the back of your hand or on your arm. Secondly, leave the inked stamp sitting down on the paper for a bit longer than you normally do. It lets the ink really soak into the paper. Third, if you are not like the coverage, here’s a great tip I learned years ago. Ink up your image with Versamark ink and then immediately ink up with the colored ink. Works every time!
