With all of the many shaped dies I have, I decided to go with one of the latest trends I’ve seen — fussy cutting out the sentiment from Close To My Heart’s stamp of the month, Enjoy These Moments. What do you think? Does the sentiment get lost in the card? Probably, in all honesty, either or is lovely! I stress about fussy cutting sentiments because I don’t know if I should cut close to each loop or swoop. Here I embossed the sentiment first and then cut and it was actually pretty straightforward with this easy font.
More About My Card
I randomly stamped the little individual leaves and acorns with Archival Black ink. This is a textured, cold pressed watercolor paper. Next, I watercolored them with my Tombow markers and a small aquabrush (Flash Sale item!) I also used a Wood Panel Embossing Folder (part of the CTMH Flash Sale ending at midnight on Monday, Sep 5). Another nice detail is the Gold Embellishing Thread — also in the Flash Sale!
I love how pretty this card turned out even though, admittedly, I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to summer. You can grab the stamp of the month for just $5 when you spend $50 … and, VIPs get it for FREE when you spend $50…
