Happy Lunar New Year!

This card came quickly together yesterday when I decided I wanted to create a card to celebrate the Lunar New Year! Did you know it’s the year of the rabbit? I thought this cute little bunny from Close To My Heart’s set, If Snowflakes Were Kisses, was perfect! His hat and scarf are not really traditional but a perfect for this time of the year here in the United States. Even though this image is definately in the “cute” category, I decided to color him/her with some gold and red Shimmer brushes. The red background is stamped with some lanterns from a|s and framed with Black Glitter paper – from CTMH. I used the retired, but still available, Curved Rectangle Frame thin cut die. So, what do you think about this pairing? Does the glitter, shimmer and cute image work together? I hope so!
