CTMH Let’s Eat Cake Fussy Cut

Fussy cutting is time consuming, true, but it lets you do really cool things! I have the Let’s Eat Cake stamp set and matching thin cut dies (thank you Close To My Heart!! I won this as a prize from them recently and LOVE IT). But, to be honest I struggled coloring my cake image and hated it when I finished. So, rather than just restamp and start over, I cut out the bear and llama since I was happy with them. I wanted to see if I could fiddle with what they were holding and, in the end, I just used a different layer of the cakes. This set works for a slimline card but can be adapted to an A2 card as well. Win, win!!

I hope my son (who is turning 25 today!!) likes it and doesn’t think it’s too kiddish. When he was in high school his nickname was Llama so I thought this would be a fun reminder of the good ‘ol days. ha ha. This is retired CTMH paper but we have another fun dual sided birthday paper in the catalog, Celebrating You. The arch die is from the Cosette stamp set and thin cut die set. LOVE!
