I have to chuckle how clean and simple (CAS) this card is … would you ever guess that I used 4 different stamp sets to create it?! I know that might sound excessive, but I love looking through my “stash” to find things that would go well together. @silvie.creates created the most fabulous flower “cluster” with white embossing on colored paper and then black and white leaves — I couldn’t wait to springboard from there.
For My Card
Close To My Heart’s new Fancy Doilies thin cut dies are absolutely wonderful! I struggled at first to get a good cut on the larger doily but I did some research and found a Sizzix Precision plate did wonders. The CTMH diecutting machine also gets rave reviews because you can adjust the pressure via a knob. I am forever shimming and just this week ruined my top plate on my Vagabond from excess pressure. sigh…. But, I digress…
For my flowers I used CTMH’s Isabella scrapbooking stamp & thin cut die set. It’s on sale this week yet during Close To My Heart’s big Stamptacular sale! Normally $33.95, its just $20 for the stamp and matching dies. I white embossed these flowers on papers from the Hope & Kindness paper bundle. I also used CTMH’s Wishing You Everything for the little flower bundle. It too is just $20 or, $12.25 if you don’t need or want the dies! I also used some leaves from a long retired set but honestly, you can find a leaf branch with many sets. Floral Wishes is an exclusive Stamptacular set (love it!!) or perhaps you have Florals & Flutters (I do!). So many choices! So many great stamps!
Oops! I almost forgot to mention my sentiment (white embossed on Pewter cardstock). This sentiment is from CTMH’s Smiles From the Garden stamp and thin cut die set. And yes! It’s on sale too. The card base is difficult to see but I did some simple white on white embossing…also an idea I picked up from Silvie’s card.
